Technology to Assist with Treatment
Digital Radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of x-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer. This image can be instantly viewed and enlarged helping the dentist detect problems easier. Digital x-rays reduce radiation 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental x-rays.
In our practice, instrumentation of root canals is facilitated by files made of unique alloy-Nickel-Titanium. The extreme flexibility of the Nickel-Titanium files preserves the anatomy of the root canal by following the canal path resulting in efficiency, predictability, and improved clinical results of endodontic treatment of significantly curved canals.
We utilize special operating microscopes within our practice. Magnification and fiber optic illumination are helpful in aiding the doctor to see the minute details inside your tooth. By using this technology, we are able to see all facets of the interior tooth and root canal system.
Electronic Apex Locator is among other technologies that facilitate predictable non-surgical endodontic treatment. The incorporation of electronic Apex Locator allows accurate computer measurement of root canals during endodontic treatment, thereby accelerating the procedure while reducing the need for additional radiographs.
When local anesthesia just in not enough, our practice offers oral or inhalation conscious sedation to help allow you to enter a state of relaxation while staying awake during your dental procedure. Although you will not feel any pain, you will be able to respond to our dentists questions and commands and have little-to-no post operative discomfort.
